Mariner App™ (“Mariner App™,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Mariner App LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, subscribe to updates, contact us, or use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

Depending on how you use the Services, you may provide:

  • Account and profile information (if you create an account in the app), such as display name, role, home port, bio, and other optional details

  • Professional credential information (optional): if you use credential features, you may provide information to support credential display or verification, such as credential type, issuing authority, issue/expiry dates, endorsements, credential numbers, and optional proof documents or images if you choose to upload them. Credential details may be displayed according to your visibility settings (e.g., public/private/employers). Proof documents, if uploaded, are not displayed publicly by default. We do not require government-issued identity verification unless explicitly stated for a specific feature.

B. Information collected automatically

When you use the website or app, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect:

  • Device and usage data (e.g., device type, browser type, app version, pages/screens viewed, time spent, referring/exit pages, crash logs)

  • using any in-app deletion controls we provide (if available).

We may retain limited information as required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.

California notice (Do Not Sell/Share)

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by applicable law. If applicable, you may request information about our data practices by contacting us.

9) Children’s privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us, and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10) International users

If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. By using the Services, you understand your information may be transferred and processed in those locations.
